Hello,
Don't you love the new stamps from Art Impressions? I haven't had much time to work with many of them yet but the ones I have, I completely love! I filmed this card for the Ai Watercolor Weekend post but forgot to flip my camera and ruined the entire thing from the light above it. Live and learn, right?
I set up the scene like Bonnie Krebs, the fantastic Owner/Creator of Art Impressions showed us in her tutorials. I started with 5377 - WC Fenced Scene by inking the lines of the road and fence in the Tombow 969 and then in the 565 but I used the N89 for the back mountain lines which is a very light grey. I used the 565 to ink all of the houses from the 5370 - WC Village Set and items like the windmill and smaller fence from the 5371- WC Barn Set. I used the Tombow 249 on the pine trees and back row trees from the 5372 -WC Mini Foliage Set but I used the 565 for the bare trees. I then pulled the color out of the lines on the entire scene. I used the palette to color in the houses, windmill, snowman and fence. I used 565 to watercolor all of the shadows. The 5060 - WC Snowman Set was stamped in only the 565 and I stamped the one arm up like he's waving. I used the snow flakes from the new 5353 - Snowflakes Die Set to make the frame which was first cut out by using the 5063 - A2 largest dies together. I popped it up with foam tape. This card is larger than the A2 because I still wanted to use some back ground paper that I just cut out a quarter inch larger on each side than the frame. I used my Signo white gel pen to add the dots and lines to the snowman. I used the blue Tombow TwinTone pen to darken the windows and the Snowman's rocks. I used Clear Wink of Stella all over but you can't see it well in photos. It's another Christmas card done and that makes me happy. Hope you all try it.
