Thankful

Hello,

My card is a part of the 2021 Cat Lovers Hop. Click here to link up cat-themed projects and learn more. Art Impressions is the sponsor for today and they have a zillion great sponsors and tons of prizes. Be sure to sign in to be eligible for the prizes.

I made this Happy Thanksgiving card for my youngest son, Brad. He has a dog like that - Sgt and a cat like that - Abigail. He's in Oregon and I wanted to send him this card to let him know I was thinking of him. #CatLoversHop

I used the 5434 Wood Table Foundation from Art Impressions and a Misti to stamp it using Memento London Fog Ink. Then use a stamp positioner to add the cat from the 2021 Limited Freebie set inked in Tombow N25. Did you know you can request the freebie of your choice from a variety when you place an order of $30 or more with Ai? You can use any animals you want to make this card. Personalize it to who you plan on giving your card to like I did or use your own animals for reference. Use the positioner to stamp the dog from the 4959 Dogs Set inked in N25. You will then use the positioner to stamp the pumpkins and apples from the 5059 Harvest Set in the pots. The roses are from the 5258 Flower Set 4 inked in 177 and 925. The foliage around the roses and in the other pots is from 5126 Foliage Set 4 inked in 177 and 565. Use a Copic fine tip black pen to darken the cat's eyes and stripes and the dog's eyes and nose. The sky is 379. The sentiment is from the 5039 Grateful Hearts Set inked in Versafine onyx black ink. The die used was the 5063 Double Stitched Rectangle A2 die.

Deck the Halls October 22, 2021

 Hello,

I had so much fun watercoloring this stamp set from Art Impressions! It's called Santa Paws Set 4937. I used Tombow markers. I used a Molotow marker to add the dots and lines for the patterns on the clothes, then watercolored them when it was dry. The snow is made using a Marvy Snow Marker. You use a heat gun to dry it up. I feel like I've known and loved all of these types of dogs during my life time. There are some really great sentiments and four more individual dogs in the set. Here's another card using that set.

Spring Time Bunny

Hello,

Here's a quick and easy card that you could easily make in any colors for any season. I'm thrilled it's being published in the Spring edition of 2022 in Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. First you stamp the bucket from the 5416 Vintage Car Set inked in 565. Stamp the bunny from the 5425 Peeking Animals Set inked in 969. Make a mask on Post-it tape then cover the bunny. Stamp the flowers from the 4762 Wooden Gate Set inked in 177 for the foliage and 636 for the flowers. Stamp the foliage from the 4867 Foliage Set 2 inked in 177 to fill it out. Stamp the grasses from the 5007 Foliage Set 3 inked in 249 for the foliage and 725 for the flowers on both sides of the bucket. Use 177 to add some grass to the ground cover. Color the bucket with N45 and the handle with 969. Don't forget the shadow under the handle. Color the bunny with 969 and 772 for the ears and cheeks. Add whiskers with a fine point pen and darken the eyes. Use 565 to color in the sky. Cut it out with the 5065 Oval Double Stitched Die and the other background piece with the 5062 Rounded Rectangle Die.

Ai Watercolor Weekend October 1, 2021

Hello,

I'm so happy it's October! Here is my card for the Art Impressions Watercolor Weekend. It was inspired by my youngest son, Brad who asked why would I only put two pumpkins on a card? Everyone who knows me, knows I do things in threes since I have three sons and have always decorated in sets of three (coincidentally, I also have three grandsons so the tradition continues). I told him it was a tutorial by our Queen B - Bonnie Krebs, Owner/Creator of Ai. So, I had to make something with three pumpkins and the rest of the scene just sort of happened. I had to add the deer since Brad is an avid shed hunter. If you don't know what that means, it's people who hike miles and miles to find the horns that deer shed. He has a lot of sheds but he still keeps doing it. Anyway, to make this card, stamp the scene from 5378 Stone Creek Scene inked in Tombow 192. I actually forgot to ink the hills and had to pencil them in after I stamped the barn from the 5371 Barn Set inked in both 969 and 565. Color the barn doors and roof in 969. Color the silo with 565. Color the barn in 312 and then make the shadows with the 565. Darken the windows with the blue fine tip Tombow TwinTone pen. The fence is also from 5371 inked in 969 and 565. The pumpkin is from the 5426 Veggies Set inked in 969. Make a mask with post-it tape and then stamp another pumpkin on either side. Color the pumpkins in 312, 925 and 565. Their stems are darkened with the brown Tombow TwinTone fine tip pen. The yellow flower grass is from 5007 Foliage Set 3 inked in 192 and 025. The bushes are from the 5372 Mini Foliage inked in 025 and in 925. Color the river in 526 and the rocks in 565 and 969. The grass is from the 5372 inked in 192. I used 312, 192  and 025 to color in the grass areas. Stamp the deer from the 5427 set inked in 969. The sky is 526. Add shadows with the 565.
