Ai Bible Journaling March 31, 2020

Hello,

I was so impressed with the Art Impressions owner/creator Bonnie Krebs' bible journaling post today that I stopped everything to make it in my bible. It's so appropriate in these current times. I have to make bible journaling a bigger priority.  t is so good for the soul and spirit. Be healthy and safe friends and stay home!

Ai Bible Journaling New Release March 26, 2020

Have you seen the brand new Bible Journaling stamps from Art Impressions? I made this card with the 5270 - Columns Set. I LOVE all four stamps included in the set and know I will be using them often. Bonnie Krebs, owner/creator of Art Impressions gave me the idea to add the flower pots to the light pole. So to make this card, I stamped the light pole after inking it in 969 and 565 but I think next time, I will use an archival ink so my light doesn't get muddied up. I pulled the color out of the lines, then I added the yellow 993 from the palette to the light. I used the stamp positioner to add the pots from the 4869 - WC Container Set. I pulled the color out of the lines then colored them in 636. I used a fine tipped pen and ruler to add the lines over the pots. I inked up the vine from the Foliage Set - 4051 in 177 and added it around the pole. I used the smaller vine from the 5126 - WC Foliage Set 4 inked in 249 to fill the flower pots, leaving some areas to stamp the brand new roses from the 5258 - WC Flower Set 4 inked in 685. I dabbed at all of the foliage and flowers with a wet brush. I used 228 on the palette to color the light pole. Next, I added the grasses from the 5126 - WC Foliage Set 4 inked in 177 to the ground. I added the yellow 993 flowers from the 5009 - WC Mini Flower set all around. I used 565 to watercolor the sky. I stamped the bunny from the 4874 - WC Bunnies Set inked in 969 then pulled the color out of the lines. I added some of the yellow to the bunny and 685 to the ears and cheek. I used the smaller vine from the 5126 set inked in 173 to add that lighter green to brighten up all of the greenery. I shaded the ground with the 565 then stamped the Happy Easter from the Easter Twist Set - 5210 in grey Memento ink. I used the 5062 - Rounded Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies to cut it out along with a back ground piece. I used my Sakura Glitter Gelly Roll pen to add some glitter on the light, flowers, bunny and the pots.

Easter Card March 23, 2020

Hello,

I watercolored this Easter card for day 23 of #thedailymarker30day coloring challenge.  I hope you are getting some coloring done during this stay at home time for all non-essential workers. It's a crazy time all over the world and nothing like I've ever seen in my life time.  I'm reminded of my Mom who always told me, God only gives you what you can handle.

Ai Watercolor Weekend Rugged Cross Bookmark March 21, 2020

Have you seen the brand new 5223 - Bookmark Dies 10 piece set from Art Impressions? It is fabulous! It comes with two bookmark dies and eight little dies to add embellishments like the heart I added to the top of mine. I made this bookmark by first taping two pieces of paper together so it would be sturdy. I tried it the other way also, but found it works best for me by taping the two pieces together prior to die cutting the bookmark. I cut out a piece of watercolor paper to fit and stamped the cross from the brand new 5268 - Rugged Crosses Set inked in first 565 then in 969. I pulled the color out of the lines and added some of the brown and blue onto the cross from the watercolor palette. I stamped the vine and grass from the 5073 - Bible Foliage Set inked in 177 and pulled the color up and out. I stamped the taller flowers from the 5074 - Bible Flower Set inked in 177 and 528. I inked the smaller flower in 565 and 177. I used the 565 off the palette to color in the sky and ground.  I used a Wow Embossing Pen and Ranger Distress weathered wood embossing glaze to add the dimension you see on the flowers and the rope on the cross.  I love how this bookmark turned out and I know I will be making many more!

Spring Has Arrived March 17, 2020

Hello,

I made this card using the brand new 5258 - WC Flower Set 4 and the new 5263 - WC Lamp Post Set from Art Impressions.  I stamped the tree from the 5056 - WC Fairy Doors Set and used the stamp positioner to stamp the door.

Happy St Patrick's Day March 13, 2020

Happy St Patrick's Day to you and yours! I loved Kendra Kreb's from Art Impression's Watercolor Wednesday tutorial on YouTube but I didn't have any St Patrick's Day stamps to recreate my interpretation until I ordered from Simon Says Stamp and they gave me this adorable llama set for free!  So I was able to create this card and I'm entering it in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge "use some green". I stamped the llama in Archival Black ink and then watercolored the rest using Tombow markers and Art Impression stamps for the foliage and flowers.

Birdhouse March 12, 2020

Hello,

Isn't the new 5261 - WC Large Birdhouses Set from Art Impressions just wonderful? I love both of the birdhouses and the three new birds are so cute! I made this on Bristol Smooth paper. Those blue flowers are from a brand new flower set 5258 - WC Flower Set 4. I love flowers and have to have every set. I love the Greetery's Nordic dies set which I used to cut out my scene and background pieces. There's a smaller frame that comes with the set of 3.

Happy Birthday Jamie, March 10, 2020

I made this card for my best friend, Jamie Lamb. I wish she and I could be together for her birthday but I live in Las Vegas and she lives in Des Moines. I used the brand new Art Impression's 5260 - WC Large Shops Set to make this card. You will see me make many cards with these shops as I am in love with both shops that come with the set! I really love those red flowers I made with the grass from the 5196 - WC Desert Set and 5009 - WC Mini Flower Set. The blue flowers are from that same flower set. The bush behind the shop is from the original Foliage Set - 4051. That back ground piece is from the Greetery's Nordic die set.
