Ai 2021 Exclusive September 29, 2021

Hi,

Hope you had the chance to get the annual exclusive E2021 Floral Post stamp set from Art Impressions. I feel it's going to be one I use often. Don't you love those towns who have these on their Main Streets filled with colorful flowers? I sure do. I made this after watching Bonnie Krebs, Owner/Creator of Art impressions on youTube. I did the flowers and pole pretty much as she did but I added the owl from the 5425 Peeking Animals and colored it with Tombow 969 and N35. The cheeks are 912 and I darkened the eyes, nose and feet with a .003 Micron Pigment pen. The pumpkins are from the 5426 Veggies set. I colored in the orange pumpkin with 933. The white one is shaded with 565. The stems are darkened with the Tombow TwinTone brown fine tip pen. The yellow grass is from the 5059 Harvest Set stamped with 026. The basket is from that same Harvest Set and I colored it with 969 and 565.  The foliage in it are from the 5126 Foliage Set 4 inked in 158 and the flowers are from the 4875 Wagon Mini Set inked in 885. The sky is 526.

Ai Watercolor Weekend September 17, 2021

 Hello!

Are you ready for the bi-monthly Art Impressions Watercolor Weekend? I created another "Shabby Chic" scene as Renee from Art Impressions called it, but this one has a fall theme. It's pretty fast and would be good for a fall birthday or Thanksgiving card, don't you think? You could use whatever containers, foliage or flower stamps you already have but you need some pumpkin stamps from the 5426 Veggies Set or the 5059 Harvest Set and the apples and basket stamps from the 5059 Harvest Set. Stamp the watering can first from the 5123 Decorative Jar Set inked in the 969 then 565 Tombow pens and stamp it off before stamping it onto your watercolor paper. Cover it with post-it tape to stamp the pumpkin next to it inked in 969. Then you cover that pumpkin with a mask and stamp the other pumpkin. Mask that pumpkin then stamp a pot over the pumpkins as it is behind them. Ink the basket in 969 then stamp it next to the watering can. Cover it with post-it tape and stamp the apples inked in 969 into the basket. Pull the color out of the lines on everything. Color the basket with 947 and 026. Color the apples with, 158, 847 and 993, leaving a white highlight. Stamp the flowers from the 5008 Flower Set 3 inked in 026 onto the watering can. Stamp the foliage from the 5126 Foliage Set 4 on the can inked in 925. The yellow, red and brown foliage is from the 4963 Fall Set. The curly branches are from the 4964 Branches Set inked in 947. The orange pumpkin is colored in with 925 and a little 847. The green pumpkin is colored with 026. Use the brown Tombow TwinTone pen for the stems and curly cues. The pot is colored in with 969 and the flowers are from the Flower Set 4052 inked in 847 and the foliage is from 5126 inked in 249. The shiplap wall is made when you are done using a pencil, t-ruler and then a little Tombow 565 for the shadows. Hope you give this a try and tag me in it!

Ai Watercolor Weekend September 3, 2021

 Hi,

I am so excited for Fall so I made another fall themed card using stamps from Art Impressions. If you want to make this, use a pencil to draw in your borders from the largest hexagon die 5135. Stamp the swing from the 5195 Swing Set inked in Tombow 969 then 565, after stamping it off on scratch paper. Stamp the pumpkin in the center from the 5426 Veggies Set inked in 969 then make a mask and cover it. Next, stamp the other pumpkin to one side. Stamp the other pumpkin from the 5059 Harvest Set. Stamp the basket from the Harvest set inked in both 565 and 969, cover the top with a post-it note, then stamp the apples inked in 969. Use a branch from the 4964 Branches Set inked in 969 to climb the post. Next stamp the leaves from the 5126 Foliage Set 4 inked in 933 and then stamp them again, inked in 993 so you get a nice mix of yellow and orange. Stamp the fox from the 5016 Mini Critter Set inked in 969. Pull the color out of the lines on everything, then color the swing cushions and stripes, barrel and one pumpkin in with my most favorite green/blue color, 312. Color one pumpkin and the fox with with 933. Darken the fox with 969 and be sure to darken the eyes, nose and ears and the pumpkin stems with the Twin Tone brown pen. Color the basket with 969. Color the apples with 837 leaving a white spot on each that you then color in with the 993. Color the leaves with 177. Darken the stems of the apples with the Twin Tone brown pen. Stamp the red flowers from the 4868 Flower Set 2 inked in 837. Stamp the yellow foliage from the 5126 Foliage Set 4 inked in 993. Stamp the foliage from the 5059 Harvest Set inked in 947. Use the grass from the 4051 Foliage Set 1 inked in 192 all around and then watercolor some in to cover the ground area. Use 565 to color in your sky and shadows. Use a pencil and a ruler to draw in the wire holding the swing.

Giveaway! The Ai Old Barn Set, September 2, 2021

Hi!

Did you all see Art Impression's Bonnie Krebs' tutorial on Facebook yesterday? I am in love with her scene! I had to make it and since I had this hexagon pumpkin looking frame that I got at Hobby Lobby, I used it so I can display this for Fall. I painted the hexagon with orange chalk paint, then hot glued a stick on top and tied a bow with jute on it. The barn set is my all time favorite and I actually have an extra set since I lost my original set for a few months and ordered another one. If you would like to be in the drawing for the Old Barn Stamp Set, please comment below. Only USA addresses are eligible. I will pick the winner in a couple of days.
