Ai Watercolor Weekend, December 17, 2021

Hello,

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE all of the Art Impressions Foundations? They make it so easy to make a great card that looks like it was tons of work. I love how this Valentine's Day card turned out. I kept all of the watering cans grey with red accents until the end when I added the enamel hearts. I didn't want it to be too busy. So if you want to make it, stamp the 5469 Watering Cans using a Misti inked in Memento London Fog ink. I used Strathmore Bristol Vellum paper that I buy from Michaels or Hobby Lobby when it's on sale. I just love how easy the ink blends on it. Color the watering cans in with Tombow N25, leaving the striped accents till the end because when you use red and then you get too close, the red will really spread. Stamp the raccoon and the squirrel inked in 969 using the Stamp Positioner. Color the raccoon with N25 and the squirrel in with 969. Give the squirrel a pink cheek using 847. Use a fine tip black pen to darken the animal's eyes, nose, mouth and then add some whiskers. The flowers are all from the brand new 5475 Flower Set 6 inked in 177 for the stems and leaves. The flowers are inked in 847, 993 and 685 but of course you can use whatever flowers and colors you have to fill the pots. The pole is colored in 969 but be sure to the leave the highlight in the center so it looks round. The grass is from the original Foliage Set 1 inked in 177. I then added more N25 to the sides of the pots before adding the lined accents with the 847. The sentiment is from the In the Air Set 4753. I finally got to use the new 5463 Slimline Dies Set but I did have to cut the papers on one end shorter by lining it up with the side lines and running it through the die cut machine again because I didn't cut the original piece long enough.

Christmas Wishes

Hello,

Do you ever try unconventional colors so your card looks different than the rest? I try that sometimes. Not sure that this color combo is great but there's something cool and different about this card. If you want to make it, stamp the snowman couple from the Art Impressions 5467 Snowmen Set inked in Tombow 565 but stamp it off on scratch paper first. Pull the color out of the lines, then color the snowlady in with 993 and color her scarf with 685 using the fine tip of the pen. I added a dot of the 685 to her buttons as well. Color the snowman's hat and scarf in with 969. The hat band is 993 and has stripes with 969. Use 969 to stamp the snowcouple's arms. Stamp the lamppost from the 5197 Winter Kids Set inked in 969. Use 993 for the light and color the post in with 177. Use a wash of 565 to color the sky. The tree is from a sticker bought at Michaels.

Ai Watercolor Weekend December 3, 2021

Hello,

This card was quick and easy and looks better than the picture because I added glittery embossing powder with an embossing pen to the shadows in the snow. I've been doing it on my Christmas cards and it really is so pretty. Give it a try. To make this card, stamp the sled from the 5467 Snowmen Set inked in Memento London Fog ink. Use Tombow 291 to color in the sled. Make a mask for the sled and cover it, then stamp the snowman from the 5467 set inked in 969 and 565. Stamp his arms inked in 969. Color his hat and buttons in 969. His nose is colored with 933. His cheeks, hat band and scarf are colored in Marvy #28 or Tombow 856 but mine is empty. Use the fine tip of the Tombow TwinTone brown pen to draw the plaid on his scarf. Stamp the girl from the 5197 Winter Kids Set inked in 969. Color her face in with a tiny bit of the 933. Her cheek, hat, glove, and boots are colored in with the Marvy #28. Use the fine tip to add the dots and plaid to her pocket and scarf. Color her jacked with 291. Her pants are 969. Use 565 to add the shadow under the snowman's hat and under the sled and then make footprints. Use the 5063 Rectangle Die set to cut it out. Use the 5062 Rounded Corner Rectangle die to cut out the background piece of paper.

Merry Snowman

 Hello,

I watched Bonnie's wreath video on Facebook and saw her example like this so I gave it a try. Stamp the sled from the 5467 Snowmen Set inked in Tombow 565 and 969. Add a container from the 4870 Ornate Container Set inked in both 565 and 969 to the inside of the sled. Use the foliage from the 5472 Christmas Wreath set inked in 177 to create the tree.  Use the mini foliage from the 4867 Foliage Set 2 inked in 249 to make the wreath and add dots with the fine tip of the 847. Stamp the snowman from the 5467 set inked in 969 and 565 and stamp his arms in 969. Use Molotow to make the lines on his scarf then color the scarf, stripes on the pot, hat band and cheeks in the 847. His hat is colored in 177. His nose is 933. Use a pencil to make the string for the lights, then color in the bases with 177 and the lights with 847. Use some 565 to make the shadows. I'm making so much progress on my Christmas cards, hope you are as well!

Ai WW November 19, 2021

Hello,

I love these new stamps from Art Impressions! The 5466 Lighthouse set has six different lighthouses. If you would like to make this card, stamp the lighthouse inked in both the Tombow 565 and 969. Stamp it off on watercolor paper first. Next ink up the cliff from the 5465 Cliffs set inked the same way and use a stamp positioner to stamp it under your lighthouse. Pull the color out of the lines, then color the lighthouse roofs and door in 969. Use the fine tip Tombow TwinTone in blue to darken the windows. Use 565 to add shadows. Use 027 to color the lines on the lighthouse. Stamp the tree from the 5372 Mini Foliage set inked in 027. Use the foliage from that set inked in 933 to add the leaves to the trees. Use the grass from that same set inked in 027. Shade the cliffs with 969 and 565. Use the stamp positioner to stamp the posts and the seagull from the 5473 Seagull set inked in both 969 and 565. Pull the color out of the lines then use 969 and 565 to color the posts and ropes. The seagulls beak is 933. Use 565, 526 and 346 to create the water. The beach is 992. The sky is colored with N35 and 565. Ink the set of three seagulls with the N35. Cut it out with the 5062 Rounded Rectangle Die set. I hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving!

Hello,

I'm so in love with the new stamp set from Art Impressions 5472 Christmas Wreath Set! It's so great for quick yet lovely cards. I highly recommend it. The dies I used are from The Greetery, LLC. I don't know where the sentiment is from, sorry. Happy crafting!
