Ai Watercolor Weekend December 5, 2020

Hello,

I made this barn scene card for the Art Impressions Watercolor Weekend. It's a pretty fast, easy one to do but the hard part for me was turning it into a shaker card. If you want to try this one, ink up the barn from the 4807 - Old Barn Set first in the brown Tombow 969 then in the Blue 565. Stamp it off, then stamp it on your watercolor paper or Bristol Smooth paper, as I used. Pull the color out of the lines then color the windows in with 933 on the bottom and 055 on the top. Use the fine tip of the green 177 pen to draw in your Christmas tree and wreath. Dab at them with a wet brush to smooth the lines. Use the fine tip of the red 856 pen to add dots and a bow. Use a ruler to add lines on the barn with the fine tip of the N95 pen. Use Molotow to draw in some snow where the tree is going to be and when it's dry, use the fir stamps from the 4960 - Fir Tree Set and the 177 pen to add branches. Dab at them with a wet brush. Stamp the little old couple inked in 565 from the 5380 Silhouettes Set on the scene.  Dab at them with a wet brush and add a little shadow under them using 565. Add shadows under the barn and tree.  Erase the Molotow and then use a little 565 to add shadows under the snow piles. Use 565 to add the sky. When it's dry, use the Signo Uni-ball white pigment ink pen to add snow drops everywhere.

Hello,

It's almost Thanksgiving, my husband's most favorite holiday, so I thought I would make a Thanksgiving card for the Art Impressions Watercolor Weekend. It's been a while but I actually got a tutorial done on how I made it, here's the link to watch it on YouTube or watch it below: https://youtu.be/Zlp9C9Sf8WA

Ai Bible Journaling Release November 12, 2020

Hello,

I made this card with the brand new 5375 Grape Border stamp set.  It's so fun to color the grapes. I used my Misti and inked up the leaves first with the Tombow 177. After cleaning the stamp set, I inked up just the grapes and then re-stamped it a couple of times to get a good amount of the 909 on the grapes. I pulled the color out of the lines then added the 177 on the palette and added more green to the leaves. I used 055 on the palette to add that yellow to the edges of the leaves. I touched the creases of the grapes with the tip of the 909 pen to darken the grapes but I left some white on the grapes, also. I then used the Misti to stamp the gate from the 5067 after inking it in 565 then 969 and stamping it off on scratch paper. I pulled the color out of the lines then added the "grape vines" from the 4867 Foliage Set 2 inked in 177.  I pulled the color out and then stamped the dots (grapes) from the 5074 Bible Flower set inked in the 909. I dabbed at them with a wet brush tip. I painted in the gate leaving some white areas with the N45. I added some of it around the stones on the path, as well. I stamped the grass from the 4051 Foliage Set 1 inked in 177 and then pulled the color up and out. I added the little flowers also from the 5074 Bible Flower set inked in 055. The sky is 526. Lastly, I stamped the banner from the 5202 Scroll Set inked in 969 then pulled the color out of the lines. I added some of the 526 in areas and some 565 where the paper rolls under. I stamped the sentiment from that same scroll set inked in Archival black ink. I thought this would make a great Thanksgiving card. Hope you give it a try.

The fence in the very back is from the 5371 Barn Set. The trees on the hills are from the 5372 - Mini Foliage set. The flowers are from the 5009 Mini Flower Set. The grass is from the 4051 Foliage Set 1.

Ai Watercolor Weekend November 6, 2020

Hello,

Don't you love the new stamps from Art Impressions?  I haven't had much time to work with many of them yet but the ones I have, I completely love! I filmed this card for the Ai Watercolor Weekend post but forgot to flip my camera and ruined the entire thing from the light above it. Live and learn, right?

I set up the scene like Bonnie Krebs, the fantastic Owner/Creator of Art Impressions showed us in her tutorials. I started with 5377 - WC Fenced Scene by inking the lines of the road and fence in the Tombow 969 and then in the 565 but I used the N89 for the back mountain lines which is a very light grey. I used the 565 to ink all of the houses from the 5370 - WC Village Set and items like the windmill and smaller fence from the 5371- WC Barn Set. I used the Tombow 249 on the pine trees and back row trees from the 5372 -WC Mini Foliage Set but I used the 565 for the bare trees. I then pulled the color out of the lines on the entire scene. I used the palette to color in the houses, windmill, snowman and fence. I used 565 to watercolor all of the shadows. The 5060 - WC Snowman Set was stamped in only the 565 and I stamped the one arm up like he's waving. I used the snow flakes from the new 5353 - Snowflakes Die Set to make the frame which was first cut out by using the 5063 - A2 largest dies together. I popped it up with foam tape. This card is larger than the A2 because I still wanted to use some back ground paper that I just cut out a quarter inch larger on each side than the frame. I used my Signo white gel pen to add the dots and lines to the snowman. I used the blue Tombow TwinTone pen to darken the windows and the Snowman's rocks. I used Clear Wink of Stella all over but you can't see it well in photos. It's another Christmas card done and that makes me happy.  Hope you all try it.
