I made this card for the Art Impressions Watercolor Weekend. Be sure to check out their blog for lots of inspiration. Summer always finds me wishing I was at a lake or ocean. Since it's almost Labor Day, the end of summer, I made one last patriotic card. I posted the video on YouTube:

I had this picture above from Pinterest and decided to try to create a card inspired by it that I could use for a fall birthday girl. I have several friends and family members with fall birthdays and I'm always looking for ideas. The girl from the 5118 - Beach Girls Set was stamped in Tombow 969 but I left off inking the bathing suit line and inside lines of her legs. I used a pencil to draw in the hem of her skirt. I stamped the tree from the 5010 - Tree Set in 969 and stamped it several times then pulled the color out of the lines. I used the foliage from the 4051 - Foliage Set stamped in four colors - Tombow 665, 993, & 925 and Marvy No. 27. The sun is colored in with several layers of 993 and 025. The Marvy 27 was used for the ground and grass using the 4051- Foliage Set. The little girl's hair is 969 and 565 was used for the shadows. In order to build up the color on the leaves, after I dabbed with a wet brush to all of the leaves, I then stamped the trees and leaves again in the same colors and dabbed at them again with a wet brush. I used both the Oval dies and A2 Double Stitched dies. Hope you try this one!
