Three Bunnies March 17, 2022

Hello and happy St. Patrick's Day!

Yesterday, Bonnie Krebs, Owner/Creator of Art Impressions Stamps did a tutorial on Facebook and here's my version. I needed three bunnies so I could make this for my son Chad and his wife Chrissy who have three sons like I did. Three has always been my favorite number.

I definitely need to make some Easter cards, don't you? This was a fun one. You can definitely change it up with any colors and any flowers. To make it, start by using the second largest of the 5065 Oval Dies to cut out the masking paper and stick it to your watercolor paper. You can then use the largest die to cut out your scene afterwards and it will have that pretty white border. Stamp the girl from the 5053 Little Girls Set inked in Tombow 969. Use a pencil to draw the egg under her. Use the stamp positioner to stamp the bunny from the 5425 Peeking Animals Set inked in 969 on her lap. Color the bunny with 969 and his ears and cheeks with 885. Color the girl's hair with 969 and her skin with 850. Her cheek, overall and headband are colored with the 885 but use some Molotow to make the dots first on the headband. Her shirt is 173, The egg is colored with 526 and 173. Use a little 565 for the shadow under the girl. Darken the eyes of the bunny and the girls eyelash with a fine tip black pen. Use the foliage from the 5126 Foliage Set 4 inked in 173 then inked in 177 to make the tree branches above the girl. Use the same colors on the vine from the 4051 Foliage Set 1 to make the leaves on the other side. Use the flowers from the 4868 Flower Set 2 inked in 177 and 885 for the flowers under the egg. Use the flowers from the 5475 Flower Set 6 inked in 526 and 177. They are my most favorite new flower. Awesome set. The sky is 526. I hope you give this one a try and tag me in it if you do.

Remember this tutorial by Art Impression's Kendra Krebs? It's so fun! I used one of the Waffle Flower shaker card covers and some eggs to make this one. I'm pretty sure my granddaughter will love it!

I used my Art Impressions stamps to make a sympathy card for a friend. Stamp the vase from the 5123 Ornate Containers Set inked in both 969 and 565. Stamp it off on scrap paper first. Next stamp the design inked in 565 onto the vase. Pull the color out of the lines, then color it with the Tombow 312 pen. Leave a highlight in the middle since the vase would be round. Make a stamp of the vase and cover it so you can stamp the flowers inside. Use the flower from the 5475 Flower Set 6 inked in 177 and yellow 055. Stamp the other flowers from that same set inked in 249 and purple 636. Stamp one on its side below the vase like it fell out. Take the mask off and add some water to the leaves and flowers. Stamp the vine from the 4051 Foliage Set 1 inked in 177. Use some blue 565 to add the shadows.

If this scene looks familiar, it's because I created it in a Fall setting. I thought, why not do a Spring Scene for this Art Impressions Watercolor Weekend. If you would like to make it, start by stamping the 5379 Winding Scene inked in 969 for the road and N89 for the hills. Stamp the barn from the 5371 Barn Set inked in 565 then 969. Stamp the other buildings from the 5370 Village Set also inked in 565 then 969. Paint all the roofs and doors in 969. The barn is painted in with 856. Use the fine tip Tombow Twintone in brown for the windows. The silo is N45. Use the tree stamps from the 5372 Mini Foliage Set inked in 969 to add all of the trees. Use the foliage from the same set inked in 177 on four of the trees and use pink 725 for two of the trees. Dab at them with a wet brush, then stamp them again inked in 173 this time to add that bright Spring green color. Stamp the row of bushes from that same set inked in 177 on the back hills. Then stamp the row of bushes again but inked in 173. Stamp the grass inked in 177 from that same set and use it to add flower stems. Then ink the mini-dots from the 5009 Mini Flowers Set in the 856, some in the 725 and some in 636 to add the flowers on the stems. Ink the fence from the 5372 Mini Foliage Set in 969 and add all the fences. Stamp the windmill from the 5371 Barn Set inked in 969. Use a wash of 177 on the palette to add some grass all over. Use 565 to add the shadows on the fences, houses, windmill and road. Stamp a bunny from the 4874 Bunnies Set inked in 969. Color him with N45. His ears and cheeks are 725. Darken his eyes and nose with the fine tip of the brown Tombow TwinTone pen and draw some whiskers. Stamp the flowers from the 5475 Flower Set 6 inked in 177 and 725. Stamp the other flowers with 177 and 856. Then stamp the grass from the 5007 Foliage Set 3 inked in 177 and 636. The sky is 526. Use the 5063 Rectangle Double Stitched Dies to cut it out and the background piece.
