New Stamps and Dies from Art Impressions October 19, 2020

Hello,

Are you loving the brand new stamps and dies from Art Impressions, too? I'm so impatient to get them all! Silly of me but I have always been a bit impatient according to my husband,Tad. 😂

This new 5364 - WC Ornate Window set is so elegant and even comes with two different fences. I used one as a die and then ended up glueing the fence on top for some dimension on my card. I stamped my window in the Tombow 565 and then pulled the color out of the lines. I put the flowers in before I watercolored the windows with the 565. Not sure I did that in the correct order. I will let you know when I try it the other way. I added some of the blue under the flowers like a shadow and added some green outside of the window frame for some wall color. Don't you love the size and font of the Happy Birthday? It's from the 5229 - SBC Exclusive Hydrangeas Set you can only get at Scrapbook.com and there are other great sentiments in the set.  I used the 5063 - A2 Double Stitched Rectangle die set to finish my card.

Rocking chair Oct

Watercolor Weekend Logo

Hello,

Have you seen the new stamps and dies sets from Art Impressions? I want/need them all! This rocking chair is so fun and easy to stamp and color up using a mask.  Wouldn't a sentiment of "Hey, Foxy" be cute on it? I need to order the 5284 - Small Alphabet set. I made a tutorial on YouTube for this card:

Barn Happy Thanksgiving

 Hello,

I made this Thanksgiving card using Art Impressions stamps and watercoloring it with Tombow Markers.  I started by stamping the trees and then the barn.  I then stamped the basket and apples, wiping the ink away from the bottom left corner of the basket so I could stamp the pumpkin in front of it. I watercolored everything then penciled in the road and watercolored it.  Are you entered in the Art Impressions Scenes challenge on their blog?  You should so you can win some new stamps!

Ai Watercolor Weekend October 2, 2020

Hello,

Did you guys seen Bonnie's video on Facebook with all of the new stamp sets coming out? I'm so excited and tried to reproduce one similar to hers for the Art Impressions Watercolor Weekend post. It would have been much easier to create with the new stamps but I used what I had and drew in the lines with a pencil to start it off. I then stamped the three buildings from the 5262 - WC Mini Cabins Set after inking them in the brown 969. Then I stamped the boy from the 5054 - WC Little Boy Set after inking it in 990. I stamped the grass from the 4051 - WC Foliage Set under the boy. I colored the boy's face, legs and arms from the palette with the 990. I colored his shorts in 565 and his hat and stripes in 837. His hair is 977. I used a black pen to draw his eyelash. The buildings are shaded and colored with the 969, 565, and 977. I used the branch from 4964 - WC Branches Set inked in 969 to make the trees and  Marvy 48 leaf green for the tree tops and the foliage from the 4051 set. The pine trees are from the 5010 - WC Tree Set 1 inked in 249. I used the foliage from the 4051 set inked in 177 for the hill tree lines and the ground cover. The road is watercolored in 969 and the mountains and sky are in 565. I wish I had the fences and the windmill and all of the new stamps to really fix this up. Maybe next time!
